DESCRIPTION:Join us for this online class every Monday from September 25th through November 20th from 6:30-8:30pm.\nResearch shows that exposure to abuse and neglect in a child’s formative years can have long-term emotional and behavioral effects on children. The ACT Raising Safe Kids program can help parents and caregivers raise children in safe, stable, healthy environments.\nIn the series of lessons parents and caregivers will gain strategies for:\n\nDealing with children’s difficult behaviors using developmentally appropriate responses;\nControlling their own anger;\nHelping children control their anger;\nTeaching children how to resolve conflicts without using violence;\nUsing positive discipline methods that fit the children’s age; and\nReducing the influence of media violence on children.\n\n
