SUMMARY:1st Annual Long Tail Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Saturday, November 11th at 2pm the 1st annual Long Tail Hunt. Winneshiek, Turkey River, and Upper Iowa River Pheasants Forever are hosting the 1st Annual Long Tail Hunt. The goal of this competition is to promote upland conservation and celebrate high bird counts.\nPlease submit registration through this link: https://forms.gle/6J1hSfE9e9mwLNYb9\nThe contest will be 2-person teams ($30 entry fee including a meal). Each team will submit two whole pheasants for measuring. The combined length of the two tails from each team will be used to determine the winner. Feathers must be connected to the bird. No pen raised birds will be accepted. Birds must be harvested the day of the competition. All state and federal laws must be followed. 1st place will win $400, 2nd place $300, and 3rd place $200.\nIn addition, all participants will be entered to win a CZ-Drake over/under shotgun. Drawing will be held after check-in. Must be present to win.\nAll youth participants (17 and under) will receive a prize.\nCheck-in will take place at The Place in Protivin at 2pm.
